Telephone groups link up voluntary organisations across Ireland
The Community Network Ireland project - Greasan Pobail Eireann - has now completed its third and final year and was successful in reaching out to the voluntary and community sector in Ireland.
Some of the telephone groups included support for people living with the after effects of polio, a group of volunteers seeking to set up a Hindu temple, a community resource centre in Dublin and a carers' support group of people living with dementia.
Here are some of the organisations that have participated in the project: CanTeen Ireland, Common Purpose Ireland, IndependentAge, Mothers' Union, Post Polio Support Group, Saoirse Support Service, Sonas aPc Ltd and Volunteers Centre Ireland.
